Requirements: BA/BS degree required in human service field. MA/MS preferred. Bilingual strongly preferred.

Job Summary: Every family faces challenges. If your passion is helping families thrive, consider joining the Empowering Families Project, a dynamic, federally-funded healthy marriage program and research project. In this position, you will oversee and coordinate elements for workshops that provide relationship and parenting education, including scheduling workshops and instructors, maintaining attendance records, coordinating and managing supportive services such as child care, refreshments, and incentives. Supervise contract educators in the program whether delivered in-person or online, in English or Spanish. Ensure connections between workshops and case management services are robust. You will ensure services are implemented using strengths-based and trauma-informed practices. You will lead selected meetings and coordinate continuing education and internal and external events for the program. Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and complete monthly update of CQI Plan. You will assist the Program Director with presentations and community events and help program achieve recruitment goals. Participate in meetings, trainings, and committees as assigned. Assist with team building activities to create high-functioning team. Provide support to the Project Director as needed, and follow all policies for the agency and for the Empowering Families Project, including federal grant guidelines.

  • Knowledge or experience in social services and marriage and/or parent education.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive subjects with tact, kindness, and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and knowledge of cultural competency.
  • Ability to maintain a positive relationship with program staff and community.
  • Ability to network, collaborate, and engage other community organizations to promote the program and client resources effectively.
  • Must have own transportation, a valid Texas driver's license, and auto liability insurance.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding client and agency business.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Hours: Full-time with ability to work evenings and some weekends. When TPC resumes full in-person implementation, schedule will be 10am-6:30pm Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Salary: $42,000 - $45,000 per year
