Position Description
The Member Engagement Manager is a dual role, responsible for leading the overall strategy and execution of member outreach to achieve the missions of DCMS and DCMS Foundation. The Member Engagement Manager is familiar with the Dallas area physician and medical community and will utilize networking and relationship-building skills to recruit and retain members, cultivate key community connections, drive success, and achieve revenue and fundraising goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Member Outreach Strategy
- Identify and foster relationships with key staff in physician offices to help recruit nonmember physicians.
- Collaborate with marketing and membership staff on strategies specifically targeting newly licensed Texas physicians located in Dallas County.
- Cultivate relationships with new and existing physicians to help identify those who may be ideal candidates for volunteer leadership roles (committees, boards, etc.), fundraising gifts, and other opportunities for involvement in DCMS.
Fundraising
- Identify giving strategies and potential donors for various fundraising campaigns.
- Develop relationships with physicians and identify possible contributions to DCMS/DCMS Foundation through their time, talent, and treasure.
- Research and engage with new physician prospects and steward current physician supporters/members.
Administration
- In collaboration with fundraising, executive, and marketing staff, develop and maintain fundraising materials such as outreach materials, solicitation letters, and strategies to engage physicians.
- Enter donations and pertinent stewardship information into the CRM database (Bloomerang).
- Maintain regular correspondence with members, donors and supporters, including providing organizational updates and personal interaction.
- Develop community relationships and collaborations to support DCMS and DCMS Foundation programs.
- Attend internal and external meetings, special events, and community events as required.
- Follow up with donors on pledges when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of demonstrated ability to develop and nurture membership-based or fundraising-based individual and community relationships and partnerships.
- Experience and desire to engage with stakeholders (members/donors) in meaningful business-based relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident, goal-oriented, positive self-starter.
- Able to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively with internal staff and external partners.
Position Structure and Benefits
- This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. Monday-Friday work schedule with some evening and weekend hours from time-to-time. Ability to work remotely two days a week after the initial training/orientation period.
- Starting annual salary range is $60,000-$70,000, commensurate with experience. Potential for year-end bonus based on outcomes and company financial performance.
