Social Venture Partners Dallas is looking for a creative, high-impact communications professional to join our team and our community. Specific duties include:

Strategy & Management:

  • Help refine how the SVP Dallas story is communicated and develop the brand
  • Develop cohesive marketing campaigns for all SVP Dallas activities, including events and fundraising
  • Maintain content and editorial calendars
  • Manage designers, printers and other contract vendors

Digital Marketing & Content:

  • Manage, coordinate, and improve all facets of SVP Dallas’ digital presence
  • Manage social media accounts and engagement (including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, & Twitter)
  • Write, design, and refine content for blog, email, social media, digital advertising, etc.
  • Plan and develop the marketing emails we send to our Partners and larger community
  • Create and publish a weekly newsletter to Partners
  • Manage and execute website updates across multiple SVP Dallas websites

Events:

  • Manage the creation of print and digital collateral for numerous educational and fundraising events
  • Ideate and execute experiential marketing tactics and new means of engaging our community in the physical world

PR & Communications:

  • Assist in copywriting and editing for public-facing documents: press releases, media alerts, public statements, blog posts, articles, and impact reports
  • Support day-to-day PR efforts, including media monitoring and relationship development

  • Have developed exceptional writing skills with the ability to write personably and with nuanced meaning, and possess a keen eye for editing

  • Demonstrate resourcefulness, making the most of what you have to work with, especially in unfamiliar and new projects
  • Possess diverse experience, both in the range of marketing projects you’ve worked on and the topics that have piqued your curiosity

Required Education and Background Experience:

  • 2-6 years of experience in a position(s) with comparable responsibilities
  • Experience in managing and executing marketing campaigns that include, but are not limited to, direct mail, email, social media, digital and social media advertising
  • Working proficiency in HTML and CSS and experience with WordPress
  • Working proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Exceptional writing skills, especially marketing copy within a corporate voice
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work closely with a small team
  • Experience managing contractors and employees; experience working in a flat organizational structure a plus
  • Non-profit or social impact experience a plus

Salary range based on experience.
