Congregation Shearith Israel is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to serve within our Maintenance Department. He/she is responsible for assisting with building and grounds maintenance and repair, custodial services and preventative maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Building Maintenance and Repair
Includes assisting the Facilities Manager with all facility systems used for the operations of our 95,000 square foot facility and grounds. Maintaining a schedule for certain routine maintenance functions, such as light bulb replacement, in order to keep everything in working order.
Make repairs as needed, including patching, painting, plumbing, and mechanical issues.
Assist with meeting and event set-up, sound checks for all services and events, special holiday set-ups, day school and religious school set-up needs and supplement cleaning and custodial functions as needed.
Qualified individuals will possess the following experience / skills:
- A minimum of three years of experience in the maintenance and repair of a facility and grounds.
- Must be mechanically inclined with the ability to do some carpentry functions.
