Job description

Manages all grants and performs financial planning and forecasting activities for all Catholic Charities Dallas (CCD) programs including the annual budget and monthly financial analysis. Responsible for financial reporting in the areas of revenue management. Reports directly to the CCD CFO.


  • Drives the annual budget and forecasting process for CCD including creation of the financial planning calendar, input and roll up templates, variance analysis and proposing corrective actions to ensure that CCD delivers its financial commitments (KPI’s)
  • Partner with program directors on all financial planning matters – annual budget/plan, monthly variance analysis and forecast (both short and long term)
  • Lead financial review of grant proposals and drive preparation of budgets/budget modifications based on outcome (revenue management)
  • Forecast and monitor all grant activity for appropriate/allowable charges against budget
  • Assist with month end close and other accounting projects for CFO and other Senior Staff


  • Maintain compliance with fiscal requirements of grantors.
  • Submit required reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) reports to funding agencies
  • Review expenses for cost savings opportunities
  • Coordinate grantor on-site financial audits
  • Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required (Master’s preferred)
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • 4-7 years’ experience in accounting
  • Not-for-profit accounting experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel required
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills


  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Strong computer systems skills, including proficiency in business and accounting computer systems, and advanced Excel skills. Raiser’s Edge/Financial Edge experience desirable
  • Knowledge of the laws, rules, and regulations for nonprofit financial record keeping and reporting especially regarding grant and other donor requirements
  • Must possess high initiative and be detail oriented
  • Organized and able to work with little supervision
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
