The Grant Manager position is responsible for maintaining and growing grant funding through the application, execution, and reporting process. This includes coordinating, reporting, and researching funding opportunities for Just Say YES.

Specific Job Functions Include:

  • Oversee and manage foundation, organization and corporate grants
  • Develop and manage a grant calendar for LOI’s, submissions and reporting while coordinating deadlines with contributors
  • Prepare and submit all LOIs, grant requests and follow-up reports
  • Coordinate documents and submission requirements with President, Chief Program Officer, Director of Finance, and Director of Development
  • Collaborate and coordinate outcomes with relevant program teams
  • Develop with program teams effective and necessary outcome measurements as required by each funder
  • Participate in site visits with existing or potential funding organizations or individuals
  • Manage/facilitate recognition and communication updates for all foundations
  • Manage relationships and attend meetings with programs executing grant funded programs for accurate reporting and to ensure the grant requirements are being met
  • Assist on Development events including but not limited to: North Texas Giving Day, Annual Celebration, Westapher Golf Tournament
  • Other Development and administrative requests as needed

 Required Skills:

  • Excellent written communication skills are a must
  • Possess the ability to manage multiple projects at one time with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines and objectives
  • Possess expertise in MS Office - Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Proficient in data base applications for use in fundraising (Salesforce; Donor Perfect)
  • Must have strong persuasive writing and interpersonal skills
  • Must have excellent understanding of Just Say YES programs and vision
  • Quick thinking and responsive to change
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information


  • Successful candidates will have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Three or more years of experience in grant writing

Full Time Position Requirements and Benefits:

  • 40 hours/week
  • Full benefits (Salary may be negotiable depending upon experience)
