Position Function: The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordination, and logistics implementation for a variety of internal and external outreach activities, events and projects that raise funds, expand the pipeline of donors, increase awareness and extend the market reach for ACH Child and Family Services. This person will also play an important role as a member of the Development Team supporting donor stewardship and recognition activities, and events and work directly with new potential supporters, donors, committee members and the public.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required with similar nonprofit or special event experience.

Experience Requirements: At least 1-3 years of experience in nonprofit, special event or similar environment is preferred.

Functional Requirements: Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service, strong written communication and interpersonal skills, advanced mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power-Point. Database management using donor-based software experience a plus.  Must be highly organized and detail-orientated, demonstrate excellent time-management skills, initiative, and able to multi-task and work independently. Strong confidence in public speaking.

Working Conditions: Heavy computer use and clerical functions in an office environment, attendance at ACH events and public functions, and some work on evenings and weekends required. Some local travel required.

Exposure to Confidential Information: Maintain confidentiality and follow policies related to donor and client records.

Key Expectations/Responsibilities:              

  • Assists with the planning and coordinating community engagement outreach and events with emphasis on logistics (Women’s Auxiliary, Agency Tours, Learning Lunch, Community Partners program activities and Third-Party Fundraising activities.)
  • Leads in planning and event coordination for Women’s Auxiliary ie. creation of a calendar of events and activities that encourage membership and attendance in Women’s Auxiliary
  • Develops timely content for agency tours. Tracks attendance and conducts follow up with tour guests.
  • Develops content for and conducts all Learning Lunches (monthly) as well as “On the Road” Learning Lunches for prospective and current Community Partners
  • Cultivates and supports opportunities for 3rd party fundraising and beneficiary events and supports agency visibility at community fairs and community organizations.
  • Assists with ACH Young Professionals group (yACH) and other groups as assigned.
  • Supports team activity to grow events and annual giving donation program
  • Supports mailings, communication activities and ongoing digital e-newsletters.
  • Proactively seeks, identifies and matches potential donors to activities including coordinating solicitations and stewardship all members of the team.
  • Other duties as assigned to support members of the Development/Marketing team and to attain departmental goals.
