Position Summary

The Finance Manager is a part-time position responsible for maintaining all financial records and reporting, payroll, and HR documentation. They will work closely with the Foundation president and select board members who will provide periodic financial oversight.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain all financial records: Grant Halliburton Foundation and Connection Auxiliary:
    • Process, deposit, and enter checks received
    • Enter online contributions
    • Enter grants received and track funds utilization
    • Make timely vendor payments (by check and online recurring)
    • Reconcile monthly credit card and bank statements
    • Assist in annual budget preparation
    • Prepare monthly financial reports
    • Prepare requested program/event reports
    • Provide support and assistance in annual audit:
      • Prepare paperwork documentation required by auditor(s) throughout audit process.
    • Payroll and HR
      • Process semi-monthly payroll and remit payroll taxes
      • Supply new hires with necessary documentation re: payroll and benefits
      • Provide completed benefit paperwork to insurance broker for processing

Essential Skills and Experience

  • QuickBooks and Excel proficiency
  • Knowledge of nonprofit accounting (i.e. balance sheet, P&L and grant reporting)
  • Some database management software experience a plus (Donor Perfect)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • The ability to work independently and with others
  • Dependability, flexibility, and ability to maintain confidentiality are a must
  • Commitment to agency vision, core values and mission

Preferred Education Experience
College degree

Preferred Professional Experience

Minimum 2 years of financial oversight, preferably with a nonprofit

Physical Requirements

Must have the ability to spend time seated and the dexterity to perform computer keyboard functions.

The employee must have reliable transportation.

FLSA: Exempt – Hourly

Part-Time – 25-30 hours/week

Reports to: President

Compensation: Compensatory with experience
