The primary responsibility of the Executive Director is fundraising and donor management, to meet the mission and goals of the Grapevine-Colleyville Education Foundation. The Executive Director will supervise the Administrative Manager to ensure administrative tasks are accomplished.

Reports to: Grapevine-Colleyville Education Foundation Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

Liaison to: GCISD Superintendent and staff; GCISD community.



  • Raise funds each year to meet budget goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with donors (corporate, individual, and civic organizations).
  • Develop/coordinate annual capital fund drive (board, employees, community, vendors, etc.)
  • Obtain sponsors and administer stadium license agreement programs.
  • Obtain sponsors for the Education Foundation events.
  • Identify and apply for outside grant opportunities.
  • Recruit new endowment patrons, encourage existing patrons to make additional contributions.
  • Develop and maintain high school alumni giving programs.
  • Plan, direct and supervise fund development programs in the areas of annuities, trusts, wills and estate planning, grants, memorials, honorariums, etc.

Community Relationships:

  • Serves as an official representative and spokesperson for the Foundation.
  • Plans and directs the implementation of internal and external public relations programs.
  • Ensures the development and communication of all Foundation publications, presentations and social media.
  • Maintains membership and represents the Foundation in designated civic organizations.
  • Develop opportunities with area businesses/organizations for speaking engagements (Speakers Bureau).

Administration and Management:

  • Work closely with school district leaders to maintain positive working relationships and ensure organizational alignment between the Foundation and GCISD.
  • Assist with Board President to develop agendas and other materials as needed for Executive and Board of Directors meetings.
  • Attend all Executive Board and Board of Directors meetings.
  • Assist in recruiting and provide orientation to all new Board members.
  • Oversee volunteers who assist with Foundation activities.

Finances and Funding:

  • Oversee staff and work with the Treasurer to produce timely monthly reports, annual reports, budgets, IRS filings, annual audits, etc.
  • Maintain 501(c)3 status.


Knowledge and attributes needed:

  • Experience and skilled in fundraising and development.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of non-profit operations.
  • Familiarity with local community organizations, corporations, community leaders
