POSITION TITLE: ESL and Spanish Education Director

EXEMPT STATUS: Exempt (Full-Time)

REPORTS TO: President and CEO

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s preferred; Bilingual in English and Spanish required

EXPERIENCE: Three years directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct the ESL and Spanish Education programs for adults.

  • In collaboration with the CEO develops operating goals and objectives for student recruitment, enrollment, completion, and retention, program quality, and teacher training for programs; implements and administers methods and procedures to enhance and continually improve operations.

  • Create, implement, and manage ESL and Spanish Education programs, including curricula management, volunteer teacher training, scheduling, enrollment and assessment processes, and data reporting.

  • Serve as liaison with Mexican Consulate for Plaza Comunitaria program.

  • Supervise program coordinators.

  • Manage contracts and budget for vendors.

  • Coordinates record-keeping for student enrollment, participation, completion, and retention.

  • Coordinates and implements various recruitment programs and marketing strategies for ESL and Spanish Education programs and special activities.

  • In collaboration with the Volunteer Director plans and coordinates on-going volunteer training and informs Volunteer Director of training content

  • Prepares reports and other documents as required.

  • Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.
