Requirements: Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations preferred, Bilingual English/Spanish

Experience: One year experience recruiting couples or families for similar organizations; previous experience with
diverse and low-income populations. Extensive knowledge of the community, social media platforms, public outreach and engagement, sales, and direct marketing experience preferred. Public speaking and partnership or business development experience.

Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Project Director, the Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting couples into a research study that provides healthy relationship and economic support services. The Outreach Coordinator will lead the department to develop leads of 750 candidate couples and at least 258 enrolled couple participants per year. The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for developing a strategic recruitment plan for community relationships, mass media, and social media campaigns. The Outreach Coordinator will lead the department to implement these plans and will schedule eligible couples for intake and enrollment. This may include direct recruitment of potential couples, developing and maintaining community-based organization referral systems, calling and texting to schedule intake appointments, and developing marketing/recruitment strategies and materials. The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for executing social media strategies, creating, editing and updating content for Empowering Families social media platforms, along with ensuring all inquiries are responded to in a timely and appropriate manner. They will have primary responsibility for coordinating and performing public presentations with community organizations and various media outlets. The Outreach Coordinator will also be expected to participate in regular program meetings, supervision, trainings (e.g., domestic violence, child maltreatment), and will be expected to follow all policies for the agency and the Empowering Families Program, including federal grant guidelines.

Partial List of Qualifications/Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and public speaking abilities, and ability to maintain a positive relationship with program staff and community.
  • Strong writing, editing (photo/video/text), and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Ability to work under pressure and with deadlines.
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and knowledge of cultural competency.
  • Able to keep accurate records of contacts and produce reports and identify meaningful trends.
  • Experience with social media and/or developing attractive marketing materials.
  • Must have own transportation, a valid Texas driver's license, and auto liability insurance.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and social media (e.g. Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok).
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding client and agency business.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Hours: Full-time with ability to work frequent evenings and weekends.

Salary: $37,000 - $42,000 per year
