Description

Position Summary:

Lead and manage Student Services which includes, but is not limited to, the After-School program and Summer program for Kindergarten-5th grade students in the South Dallas community of Bonton.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain the budget for the After-School and Summer programs for K-5th grade
  • Reconcile purchases and expenditures at the end of each month for Student Services
  • Manage the schedules of Student Services staff
  • Lead and manage the After-School, Summer, and literacy programs to successfully equip kids through academic enrichment, physical education, social/emotional development, and exposure through field trips
  • Maintain certification from Dallas After School for the After-School program
  • Supervise staff members, volunteers, facilities, and maintenance in the Student Services program
  • Supervise and manage AmeriCorps relationship and team members
  • Plan and schedule parent meetings each semester with follow-up parent surveys for feedback
  • Monitor and report students emotional/social well-being, educational advancement, and character formation for grants and Dallas Housing Authority
  • Create and maintain partnerships with organizations such as Dallas Mavericks, SMU School Zone, Dallas Housing Authority, Frazier Revitalization, Dallas Parks and Rec (Teen Tech Center), Lexia, Dallas Museum of Art, Perot Museum, Play Street Museum, as well as a variety of churches in the DFW area, etc.
  • Develop relationships and partnerships with local DISD administrators, counselors, and coaches
  • Organize and execute volunteer opportunities, as well as assist with onboarding of new volunteers through annual training alongside the Executive Coordinator
  • Offer Biblical guidance and direct youth struggling with academic and behavior issues
  • Raise awareness of Student Services in South Dallas by building relationships with parents and the community
  • Bi-weekly reporting to the Vice President of Operations on all Student Services programming
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Agree with the belief statement of BridgeBuilders and maintain a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Publisher
  • College degree preferred
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull or maneuver up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
