TITLE: Development Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Development Director/Executive Director

SUPERVISION: (general volunteers)

STATUS: Full-time,non-exempt

The Development Coordinator is a vital team member at Hope Clinic of Garland assigned to the organization’s Development area and charged with assisting on tasks guided by the Director of Development/Executive Director. The role requires the commitment to the mission of Hope Clinic of Garland, which exists to share the love of Jesus Christ by partnering with our community to provide primary health care and resources for healthy living to the under served population. As Development Coordinator,the job requires a high level of integrity/confidentiality in facilitation of normal duties.


  • Coordinate Department mailings (direct response management)
  • Assist in preparation, execution and guest relations for all fundraising events
  • Conduct preliminary research on prospective corporate, foundation and individual donors
  • Submit expense reports to Accounting and reconcile with Finance expenses monthly for Development area
  • Assist the Development team as needed—and perform other duties as required
  • Order Department supplies and interface with vendors for Development activities
  • Other Duties as Assigned.


  • Minimum associate degree, with at least 4 years of office experience
  • Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with organization specific programs and software
  • Proficiency in collaboration and delegation of duties, where applicable
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with multi-tasking abilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Able to lift 35 lbs. as needed related to some tasks


Hope Clinic of Garland was incorporated in 2002 asa 501(c)(3) organization to provide urgent medical care and offer health education, personal encouragement and Christian ministry to the under served and uninsured residents of Garland. From its beginning of one night a week in a borrowed space with an all-volunteer staff, Hope Clinic of Garland has grown to a full-scale, primary care operation facilitating approximately 8,000 patient visits each year. Salary: $14.00 to $16.00 /year
