Camp Summit is seeking a Development Associate to: plan, implement and achieve the goals for 2 major special events, monthly miscellaneous events, and donor cultivation activities; create and implement donation appeals; and, implement all Social Media fundraising.  This position reports to the Director of Development.


Responsibilities include timely and efficient project management for two major events, multiple small events, donor cultivation activities, and direct mail appeals. Duties include managing timelines, event logistics, solicitation of sponsorship and in-kind donations, event marketing, recruiting and managing volunteer committee members, maintaining records and achieving goals. Works with staff, volunteers and board members to achieve successful events.


Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; experience in event planning; development and fundraising experience a plus. Other requirements: self-starter, proficient in managing deadlines and multiple projects, detail-oriented, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), proficient in Microsoft Office, graphic design skills a plus and knowledge of a donor database.
