The Job

The Development Associate is responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of THI’s donor development efforts. This includes data entry, reporting, creating event and campaign webpages and keeping them up to date. This role also coordinates and cultivates THI’s volunteer relationships and is the liaison between volunteers and our advocacy and bridging work. You are an experienced non-profit professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You manage your time well and can move multiple projects and tasks forward simultaneously. You are organized, detail-oriented, and thorough. You are interested in people’s stories; you enjoy networking and cultivating relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track grant application and submission process; maintain grant records in Bloomerang
  • Create and administer campaign and event pages in Bloomerang/Kindful
  • Cultivate and support portfolio-level volunteers
  • Manage logistics of mail and email fundraising campaigns
  • Coordinate all aspects of NTXGD campaign strategy
  • Record and process donations; create donation reports
  • Manage donor acknowledgment process
  • Bridging/Event liaison - Assist primarily on issues related to donors and overall development strategy
  • Become a knowledge bank for who’s who in the database
  • Spend 4-6 hours per month on the streets with advocates

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Self-starting and self-directed.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-focused.
  • Team player with a can-do spirit when asked to jump into unexpected tasks as directed by THI leadership
  • Minimally one year working in a non-profit environment
  • Good communicator - both written and verbal
  • Poised presenter in large and small settings
  • Excellent networker, hospitable and welcoming
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite of applications, Bloomereang and Kindful
  • Pursuing a close and growing relationship as a disciple of Jesus Christ
