EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED: Experience working with individuals who have experience violent/exploitive relationships. Must be able to understanding of power dynamics in relationships as it relates to human trafficking.  Trained in EMDR and TF-CBT. Experience intervening in crisis situations using sound professional judgment and ethical practice. Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of clients and the Program.  

EDUCATIONAL

REQUIREMENTS:   A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field is required Candidate should be licensed in related field in Texas.

DUTIES      

  • Provides crisis intervention, individual, and group therapy to high risk youth victims.
  • Utilizes evidence-based practices with clients including EMDR and TF-CBT.
  • Provides clinical services that are trauma-informed and aligned with Promise House’s purpose and values.
  • Develops Individual treatment plans and goals for each client.
  • Conducts clinical assessments with clients during their course of treatment.
  • Provides clinical case consultations with residential and none-residential staff as needed.
  • Participates in clinical staff meetings, including offering clinical feedback.
  • Completes necessary documentation and maintains accurate, up to date records as required by the program.
  • Provides on-call support as required or scheduled.
  • Attends and participates in weekly staff meetings and supervision.
  • Reports suspected child abuse/neglect to Child Protective Services and/or appropriate law enforcement agency.
  • Participates in education and implementation of new organization initiatives, including evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care models.
  • Monitors compliance to legal guidelines, ethical standards, internal policies, and quality standards
  • Participates in ongoing continuing education and maintains requirements for licensure.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Additional Requirements  :  Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
