Nexus Recovery Center is seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Executive Director to join our team! Our current leader is retiring  after serving 30 years with Nexus Recovery Center. The organization seeks a visionary leader to continue the mission of the organization, help define and execute upon the strategic plan, and assist in generating diverse financial support throughout the community to support Nexus Recovery’s mission.  The CEO is the key management leader of Nexus Recovery and is responsible for overseeing the overall administration and planning, corporate and board governance oversight, and policy development and implementation.  The CEO will also have responsibility for the development and implementation of future funding strategies to assure continuity of agency programs. Other essential duties will include community outreach, financial management, marketing, agency licensing, contract compliance, and staff supervision and development.

Our ideal candidate will have nonprofit experience with a strong background in leadership and vision for agency growth.  In addition, the candidate will be able to lead agency operations, develop and implement funding strategies, interact and understand the political environment, supervise a senior director staff, develop community relations by representing Nexus Recover to the community.  Working with the Board of Directors, the CEO will set important goals for the organization and work systematically to meet them.

REQUIREMENTS Master’s degree (M.A.) or advanced training in business, public or non-profit administration, or clinical field related to the work of the agency.  5-10 years successful senior leadership experience (preferably at a social impact organization), managing a department or agency with job responsibilities in financial, personnel, planning and development areas.  Demonstrated leadership, communication and presentation skills, with strong motivational and staff leadership abilities. Related nonprofit experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
