The Opportunity

The Annual Fund Manager plays a pivotal part in advancing the mission of Metrocrest Services by supporting fundraising efforts, donor engagement, and promoting agency initiatives. Your work will directly contribute to the growth and sustainability of the organization and its impact on the community. This position reports to the Director of Development.

Schedule Commitment

The Annual Fund Manager works in person, Monday through Friday. Attendance at some evening and weekend events throughout the year may be required.

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4 years’ nonprofit development experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of fundraising software, donor databases, and digital marketing tools
  • Flexibility to address changes to project scope as they arise
  • Experience using Mailchimp, Salesforce, Canva

Major Responsibilities and Duties

Administration

  • Manage donation processing including inputting deposits, and updating donation name/campaign/fund accordingly
  • Manage donation drive requests and provide support to the food pantry team by securing additional donation drives based on relationships created with local companies and organizations
  • Manage the administration for agency’s Community Engagement Committee, made up of Board Members, staff, and community members.

Annual Fund

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase and steward monthly donors (ChangeMakers)
  • Manage Annual Fund and vendors and consultants who implement direct mail programs, including copywriting, design, production and mailing, and list selection
  • Works with the Director of Development to determine solicitation strategies for annual donors.
  • Develop donor recognition opportunities.

 Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Development team to plan, execute, and evaluate fundraising campaigns, including donor drives, crowdfunding, and special events.
  • Assist with creating and implementing an agency annual development plan that incorporates a range of strategies, including annual appeals, major donors, corporate and individual appeals, social media, and special events.

Community Engagement

  • Assist in planning and executing events, workshops, and seminars that engage donors, volunteers, and the local community to raise awareness and support for the organization.
  • Attend events on an as-needed basis.

Reporting

  • Maintain accurate donor records, track contributions, and generate reports to analyze fundraising trends and effectiveness through the agency's CRM system, Salesforce.
  • Track development KPI’s and create reports for the development team.

Stewardship

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing donors, sponsors, and supporters through stewardship letters, personalized communication, updates, and appreciation initiatives.
  • Creates copy of individual gift acknowledgment letters for use by development staff.
  • Manage stewardship of all foundational level donors as well as a portfolio of mid-level donors.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget.
  • Stays abreast of emerging trends and technologies to identify opportunities and engage new partners by participating in professional development seminars, conferences, and workshops.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Assigned interns and departmental volunteers

 Special Requirements/Physical Requirements/Working Environment

The work environment and physical demands described are representative of those required by the Annual Fund Raiser to perform the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • This role works onsite in a climate-controlled facility.
  • Physical Stamina and Strength: Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Prolonged Computer Use: Ability to look at a computer screen for extended periods.
  • Travel: Ability to travel for work within the DFW area.

Reporting Relationship

The Annual Fund Manager reports to the Director of Development.
