First Presbyterian Church seeks Administrative Assistant for the Church Administrator

Job Summary:  Responsible for all administrative support for the Administrator and the committees and boards on which the Administrator serves.  Manages meeting logistics including agenda and minutes.  Arranges for equipment, presentations, and meal service for meetings. Develops programs and brochures as needed.  Handles all incoming/outgoing phone calls, mail, email, and packages.  Purchases general office supplies, coordinates church master calendar, and fields questions regarding IT system, phone system, and copiers. Maintains current and former employee files and records including background checks.  Schedules the use of church vehicles, maintains list of certified drivers, and schedules all safety drills.

Skills and Qualifications:  Must have a minimum of ten years executive administrative experience.  Prior church experience a plus.  Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required.  Must be able to handle highly confidential information and use good judgement in a high speed  environment.  Ability to meet deadlines and maintain composure under stressful conditions.  Proficiency with integrated software modules needed. Experience with Windows Office Suite required.  High school education required with some college preferred.  Need a heart for service and a love for people.
