QuickBooks for Nonprofits 101

This session will discuss the selection of QuickBooks software and the features included; illustrate how to navigate the software and perform common tasks; and offer a basic understanding of how to use QuickBooks accounting software in a nonprofit environment.
Attendees will learn how to navigate the software (with a focus on the desktop versions) and perform common types of transactions such as:
• Process basic accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
• Reconcile a bank statement
• Prepare common reports
• Modify reports
Program Level: Basic
Prerequisites: None, no advance preparation required
Instructional Method: Adult In-person classroom – Hands-on interaction with QuickBooks
Social Worker CEU Credits: 3 hours

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Chad M. Rosen, CPA, MBA, MS is the managing member of CMRosen, LLC, is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and specializes in the needs of nonprofit organizations. He founded the Nonprofit Accounting Society of Dallas (NASD), which holds regular lunch meetings to discuss and answer questions related to nonprofit accounting. Chad received his undergraduate degree from UCLA, where he graduated magna cum laude in three years. He received his MBA in Finance and his MS in Accounting and Information Management from The University of Texas at Dallas. He became licensed as a CPA after passing all four parts of the CPA Exam on his first attempt. He is an instructor for CNM Connect and an adjunct professor at The University of Texas at Dallas. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
