Beyond Grant Readiness: Next Level Grant Strategies

Beyond grant basics, this workshop will prepare you with more advanced grant writing strategies and will help you expand your skills as you grow in your grant career.

This course is intended for staff and board members of nonprofits that engage in charitable fundraising activities.

This course will include:

  • Types of grant funding
  • Project/program budgets
  • Case statements
  • Grant research services
  • Understanding overhead/administrative costs
  • Communicating with funders
  • Grant resources
  • Tips on organizing your grant calendar

 After attending this workshop you will be able to:

  • Describe the value of case statements for grant proposals
  • Identify sources of grant funding
  • Employ best practices in grant reporting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve grant results

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Michelle Crim, CFRE

Michelle currently serves as President of Dynamic Development Strategies, LLC and provides interim leadership and strategic fundraising services to nonprofits in the Tarrant County and surrounding areas. Her 20-year career in fundraising and nonprofit management has included roles in both higher education institutions and social service organizations. She received her Certified Fundraising Executive credentials (CFRE) in 2008, is a past president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Fort Worth Metro Chapter and is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Fort Worth.

She serves on numerous nonprofit boards and frequently speaks on a variety of fundraising topics, nonprofit leadership and Down syndrome.
