A Guide to Goal Setting: Ensuring Your Team is Set Up to Succeed

Whether you have five employees or 500, setting goals for every person on your team is crucial to your organization’s success. Having a “people plan” is just as important as having an operations or financial plan. However, most leaders overlook or are unsure of how to build a strategic plan that ensures employees are set up to succeed.

In this interactive, working session, you will learn practical, actionable tactics to help you write S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Bound) goals for your company, department, team or individuals that will better equip your organization to meet and exceed your business objectives.

After attending this workshop you will be able to:

  • Understand a talent management process
  • Understand the benefits of performance management
  • Become familiar with a goal setting framework and timelines
  • Be prepared to write S.M.A.R.T. goals
  • Be prepared to conduct effective performance conversations with staff year round

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
