ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Barbara Shelton
Barbara Shelton, a certified fund raising executive (CFRE), is Vice President at M. Gale & Associates. She arrived at M. Gale from ACH Child and Family Services in Fort Worth where she served as chief development officer, responsible for planning, designing, volunteerism, and implementing a strategic direction for marketing and fund development. Her interest in fundraising started at an early age when she began raising money for the American Cancer Society after her mother died from cancer. She followed her passion for helping others by earning a degree in community services, including studies in social work, from the University of Akron (OH). As a social worker, she connected her mission to the importance of fundraising and her specific interest in helping non-profit organizations raise money shaped her career.
