Ready, Set, ACTION! Building an Action Plan for Fund Development

We know we need to raise more money but how? There are many strategies for fund development but how do we implement that into our already busy days when there are multiple demands and few resources? Learn techniques and templates to execute fund development strategies that will leverage would current staffing/resources and help raise funds.
Students who attend this workshop will be able to:
- Explore successful fund development strategies
- Work through templates to execute (in class)
- Present on action plan for the next 18-months
Program Level: Basic
Prerequisites: Bring current fund development plans and goals from your organization – we will be working on building a fund development action plan during the seminar
Instructional Method: Online via Zoom
Social Worker CEU Credits: 2 hours

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
In her role at Sunwest Communications, Whitney works directly with the nonprofit and corporate social responsibility division team to expand services including strategic planning, fund development planning and process management focusing on civic projects, corporate social responsibility impact, foundations and nonprofit organizations.
Prior to Sunwest, Whitney has had an extensive background in nonprofit and corporate social responsibility leadership including roles at the AdvoCare Foundation, March of Dimes, Greenhill School, Lockheed Martin, Dallas Regional Chamber and U.S. Department of Education. In addition, Whitney is also a published children’s book author of the series “My Sweet Child Born in….”.
Whitney currently serves on the Board of Directors for TexProtects, The Concilio and Texas Ballet Theater. She and her family are also very involved with the North Texas Food Bank raising funds and awareness for the Food 4 Kids program and Stop Hunger Capital Campaign.
The Dallas Business Journal and the Dallas Furniture Bank have awarded Whitney the top 40 under 40. She was also awarded the Community Servant of the Year by HOBY North Texas.
