FAQs on Nonprofit Tax and Financial Management

No matter what your tax and finance experience is, the nonprofit world is unique. In this course, we will discuss FAQs which address the following topics:
- In-kind donations
- Restricted and conditional contributions
- Allocation of expenses for reporting purposes and for grants
- Form 990
- Agency transactions
- Tax acknowledgements and disclosures for donations
- Third-party events
- Accountable versus nonaccountable reimbursement plans
- Some other tax considerations (sales, unrelated business, property, etc.)

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Chad Rosen, CPA, MBA, MS
Chad M. Rosen is the managing member of CMRosen, LLC, which provides audits, reviews, consultation, bookkeeping, and Form 990 preparation. He is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and founded the Nonprofit Accounting Society of Dallas (NASD), which holds regular lunch meetings to discuss and answer questions related to nonprofit accounting.
Chad received his undergraduate degree from UCLA, where he graduated magna cum laude in three years. He received his MBA in Finance and his MS in Accounting and Information Management from The University of Texas at Dallas. He became licensed as a CPA after passing all four parts of the CPA Exam on his first attempt. Aside from his teaching at CNM, Chad has taught undergraduate and graduate courses as an adjunct professor at UTD. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
