Company Information

24 Hour Crisis Hotline

We provide immediate services to inform and support persons affected, directly or indirectly, by sexual violence. Our volunteer advocates are trained to listen, assess the needs of the caller, offer support, and plan for their safety. When appropriate, the crisis volunteer will notify the police department, hospital, a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) and an advocate from The Turning Point to assist the victim.

Hospital Accompaniment

Advocates are available 24 hours a day. 7 days a week to provide support and information. When you go to one of our hospital partners and inform them that you are there for a Sexual Assault Nurse Examination, you will be escorted back to an ER room. Shortly thereafter an advocate from The Turning Point will meet with you and stay by your side throughout your exam and providing emotional support, information and referrals, safety planning and serving as the liaison between the survivor, family members, law enforcement and hospital.

Free Counseling

Through individual counseling, survivors are able to process their sexual violence experience and begin to reclaim the power and control they felt was taken away from them.

To schedule an assessment or for more information on receiving counseling, contact us at 972.985.0951 and ask to speak with a counselor.

Case Management & Legal Advocacy

A case manager and trained legal advocate is here to provide follow-up 48-72 hours after every crisis intervention and hospital accompaniment when requested. Case managers offer continued support, coordination of community services and assistance with the criminal justice system.  We can help you with Crime Victims Compensation, court case accompaniment, Address Confidentiality program, referrals for other services, and any other questions that survivors or their loved ones may have.

School Programs

We offer a multilevel, structured sexual violence prevention series geared at empowering students to become agents of change. Students are challenged to “Be EPIC” or in other words to Be Educated, Pro-Active, Influential and Changed when faced with the issues of bullying, sexual harassment and sexual assault.

Community Programs

The Turning Point Education teams offers education programs which emphasize the effects of bullying, sexual harassment and sexualized violence to individuals, faith-based communities, law enforcements, non-profit organizations, colleges and universities, medical practitioners, and businesses to reach this goal.
