Founded in 1970, the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth is approaching 50 years of service to the community as a catalyst for engagement between the people of North Texas and Japan.
The Society offers a diverse portfolio of established signature programs and events, ranging from cultural and educational to business and public affairs. In cooperation with the City of Dallas, the Society manages several exchange programs between Dallas and Sendai, friendship cities since 1997. To expand its impact, the Society actively partners with local organizations and educational institutions that share mutual interests.
The Japan-America Society is a strong and stable organization, with an active, engaged Board of Directors; a sound financial position; a solid base of corporate support; and a positive reputation in the community.
