The mission of Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. We are a youth development organization focusing on girls ages 6-18, growing up in low-income and under-resourced communities; 95% are girls of color. Our professional staff leads girls through research-based curricula that is girls-only and girl-centric. Through afterschool programs, spring break and summer camps, programming at partner schools, and our five-year STEM initiative, EUREKA, we seek to build a long-lasting, impactful relationship with each girl we serve. We help them excel in school; develop leadership skills; make healthy lifestyle choices; set meaningful goals; develop positive self-esteem; and gain interest and skills in STEM subjects. Our girls emerge from our programs as leaders, equipped to break the cycle of poverty and grow into successful, confident young women.
