The FWAYA is a dynamic non‐profit organization based in Fort Worth, TX.

The vision: our community collaborating to reduce the impact of cancer in the adolescent and young adult population.

Our mission: we collaborate to improve the quality of life and outcomes of adolescent and young adults with cancer by enabling the healthcare community; empowering patients and raising awareness.

 

We are a community of more than 100 healthcare professionals, young adult cancer survivors and their families, advocates and passionate volunteers. Our coalition works together to improve the lives of adolescents and young adults (AYAs), ages 15 to 39, diagnosed with cancer in our community. AYAs face unique medical barriers and psychosocial issues that, when not addressed, can have devastating short and long-term consequences.
