Established in 2010, FOR LOVE & ART™ (FLA) partners with museums globally to use their artwork as engagement tools to transform the quality of life for seniors in communal living, people with end-of-life issues, hospitalized veterans and children, and others with limited mobility.

FLA practices "therapeutic art" (distinct from art therapy) and is part of the growing trend in the general field of Arts in Health. As an alternative to pharmaceuticals, engaging people to share their personal experiences while viewing artwork promotes well-being and euphoria for all who participate. Spirited engagement enhances every aspect of Quality of Life, psychosocial, cognitive, spiritual, and physical. Recent research shows that one trip to the museum has the health equivalent of four trips to the gym!

Between 2010 and 2019, philanthropic support to FLA enabled the endowment of 333 Virtual Museum ArtBooks to hospices, veterans and children's hospitals, and organizations catering to senior care throughout Texas and beyond. In addition, since 2016, FLA's "Community Docent Art Angels" have led well over 2,500 hour-long "Celebrate the Art Experience" presentations to over 35,000 seniors and others.

FLA proactively shifted its presentation to Zoom formatting during the pandemic, targeting the homebound and alleviating loneliness, worry, and boredom.

Post pandemic, Quality of Life Professionals are clamoring for curated high-quality engagement content for their long-suffering residents, and FLA delivers! One-hundred percent of surveyed participants declare FLA's program "engaging, enriching, and fun!"

Experts predict a global depression (psychological) once the total cost of the pandemic registers. Author Mo Willems quipped, "Science with get us past it (Covid).  Art will get us through it."  So FLA's program that brings Beauty and Joy is increasingly timely.
