How We Help

At Brighter Tomorrows our primary goal is to provide emergency safe shelter where survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault can begin healing. Our services are provided free of charge and confidential regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or age to both shelter residents and non-shelter residents.  Services are offered in English and Spanish.

24-hour hotline and crisis intervention is available 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Emergency safe shelters are staffed 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Case management at the emergency safe shelters, the Resource and Counseling Center and Transitional Housing Program services are provided during regular business hours; Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm.

Brighter Tomorrows staff can assist survivors with obtaining permanent safe housing, legal aid, child care, clothing, enrolling children in school, obtaining school supplies, job readiness, budgeting, and life skills.

Brighter Tomorrows has thrift stores located in Grand Prairie and DeSoto.  Our thrift stores raise operating money for agency services and provide household goods and other necessities for clients when they enter the emergency safe shelter and Transitional Housing Program.  Shelter and Transitional Housing Program clients receive vouchers and may shop at no charge for clothing and other needs.

DeSoto Thrift store provides TXU Energy Aid for DeSoto, Lancaster and Duncanville residents.
